Rio will make his Wales debut against New Zealand on Saturday.

After more than a year out injured, Halfpenny is back at full-back.

Halfpenny is one of three British and Irish Lions who have returned from injury.

Hooker Ken Owens and new captain Justin Tipuric are also in the back row.

In the absence of injured skipper Dan Biggar, Tomos Williams is preferred at scrum-half and fly-half has been named.

Josh Adams had a wrist injury and was ruled out for the rest of the season.

The world's most capped player Alun Wyn Jones is one of the replacements.

There will be back-row cover on the bench with Christ Tshiunza and Owen Watkin.

Wales head coach Wayne Pivac said it was great to have Ken Owens, Justin Tipuric andLeigh Halfpenny back.

They are big game players and bring a lot of experience. We're looking forward to having them back in the side because we don't get much bigger playing New Zealand.

We know that New Zealand will play fast. The roof is closed so we're looking forward to a fast, open game and I think Justin brings that extra bit of speed to the jersey. We believe that the combination of Tipuric, Reffell and Faletau will work well.

Rio has fit in quickly. He thrives in this environment. He is bringing some form with him into camp. He scored a lot of tries and is very confident.

A young man is playing his first Test match in front of a large crowd. It's a good way to start your career.
