Cyber Newtypes were made volatile weapons of war by being augmented through organ replacement, biotechnological implants and chemical exposure. Through its capitalistic future lens, Witch From Mercury is examining the echoes of the original Gundam and its successor's conflicts, which were exploited by old ruling powers in the name of war and dominance. There's something wonderful that it's willing to engage with some of the franchise's oldest defining sci-fi ideas in its own way
