A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested by D.C. police in relation to the shooting of Brian Robinson Jr.

The young man is accused of attempting to rob while armed. Since the suspect is a juvenile, he wouldn't give any information about his past.

Robinson was shot in the right leg near a strip of clubs, bars and restaurants in northeast Washington.

The third-round pick had surgery and missed the first month of the season. Robinson was the team's starting running back after taking the field in Week 5 against the TennesseeTitans.

The arrest was partially attributed to a community tip received by police, but wouldn't go into detail on the nature of the tip. The local office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was heavily involved in the investigation.

Good police work, community involvement and science help solve violent crimes.

Two people who are involved in the case need to be brought to justice, according to Contee.

One of the suspects was described as the "getaway driver" in what appeared to be an attempted armed robbery.

It was not clear if the attackers knew Robinson's name.
