Varela called her friend Valentn her "beautiful friend" on her birthday.
On Sunday, the newlyweds announced their marriage on the social media site.
"After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day," they wrote in the caption.
Their proposal and wedding were shown in the video.
The 2020 Miss Grand International winner, Abena Akuaba, was one of the people who offered their congratulations to Varela and Valentn on their social media accounts.
