Sean McVay is said to be likely to retire once the core of Matthew Stafford, Donald, Kupp and Ramsey are no longer with the team.

Albert Breer said on The Rich Eisen Show that Sean McVay's future with the team is likely tied to those four guys. McVay is also likely to be gone when those guys are gone.

I think the way they look at it is, 'We have to do everything we can to maximize what we have.' We have a coach and a core of players. It might last for another year. It might last for five. We need to get the most of those guys now.

McVay has admitted that he doesn't see himself remaining on the sideline into old age.

In May, McVay said that he was not close to not wanting to coach football. I like to coach a lot. When I was asked if I was going to be a lifer in coaching, I said I didn't know if I would ever do it.

McVay was offered up to $100 million to leave his job as a football coach and become a TV analyst for Thursday Night Football. McVay signed an extension with the Rams, after turning down the offer.

Donald has been open about his retirement plans. After the Rams' Super Bowl win, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year contemplated walking away from the game, but decided to return on a three-year, 95 million dollar deal.

Stafford and Kupp recently signed deals that will keep them in Los Angeles through the year 2026.

We will probably have at least four more years of McVay on the sideline.
