The Edge X30 was one of the first devices to be unveiled with a Gen 1 Chipset, and this trend appears to continue with its successor. The upcoming Moto Edge X40 may have been certified by China.
The next flagship phone from Moto will have a few improvements over the Moto Edge X30, most notably in the camera and memory departments. There is a device with the model number XT2301 listed.
One of the fastest processing speeds is expected to be achieved by the upcoming phone. If this pans out, the Moto Edge X40 will give the upcoming S23 Ultra a run for its money.
The display could be smaller than before. The Edge X40 will have a 6.67-inch display with a resolution of 1200 x 800. The model will have the same refresh rate as last year's model, which is usually found in the best gaming phones.

Fans of the company may be expecting more storage variant. Unlike last year's model, the Edge X40 is likely to be available in a 512GB storage option, as well as the usual 128 and 512GB configurations, making it a better option than last year's model. It is possible that it has a virtual RAM expansion feature that will allow it to max out at 18 gigabytes.
There is a triple camera setup on the back of the next-gen phone. The Edge X40's depth sensor may be swapped out for a 12MP one, which is a welcome upgrade.
It's not known when the Moto Edge X30 will be unveiled. A December launch in China can be expected if last year's launch window is any indication. The Edge X30 was released as the Edge 30 Pro in Europe and other markets. TheEdge+ was renamed in North America. For the next model, the same strategy could be used.
