At 8 a.m., a storm formed over the Caribbean Sea. While Hurricane Martin was in the central Atlantic Ocean.
As it nears landfall in Belize, Lisa has maximum sustained winds of 80 mph, while Martin has 75 mph winds and is not expected to pose a major threat to land.
There is a life-threatening storm surge of up to 7 feet above normal tide levels expected, along with damaging winds and up to 10 inches of rain, in the area under a Hurricane warning.
The National Hurricane Center expects the storm to strengthen a bit over the next few hours before it makes a direct hit on the coast on Wednesday.
