The PittsburghSteelers need to accept the fact that they are fighting for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

They were embarrassed by the Eagles in Week 8.

Chase Claypool was traded to the Chicago Bears by the Pittsburgh Steeler on Tuesday.

In Pittsburgh, double-digit losses are not the norm, but they can be accepted because of the pieces in place.

When the team makes a charge at the playoffs again in 2022, Kenny will have time to learn.

The mentality shift that needs to take place within the franchise and fan base for the next nine games is not what anyone in Pittsburgh is used to.

Pittsburgh isn't good enough to compete for a playoff spot, so it will be better if they add a top draft pick to the team.

The defense has been gashed for over 30 points in two of the last four games and the offense has scored 20 or more points on three occasions.

The bye week is a good time for Pittsburgh to hit the reset button and focus on development of young players.

The team is 15th in the conference with three games left in the season.

If the team loses, it has to be able to take positives from the performance of its young players in order to build a foundation for the future.

George Pickens will be the second wide receiver after Chase Claypool.

In the first eight weeks, the 21-year-old showed flashes of his potential, and he should now receive a lot of targets.

It could be argued that Diontae Johnson should be the No. 1 wideout in certain games in order to see how he handles the pressure.

He had six or more targets in a five-game stretch from 3-7 weeks ago, but he was held without a catch in Week 8.

The bye week is a good time to draw up ways to get the wideout more involved.

The franchise and fans can fall back on the individual success of young players like Pickens to generate hope for the future if the team keeps losing.

Najee Harris has not been performing well.

He averages 3.3 yards per carry and does not have a single game with a rushing yard total over 75 yards.

Harris' ineffectiveness is one of the reasons why the offense has not been successful.

Harris needs to be preserved in certain games so that he doesn't get tired in meaningless ones.

It would be great for the team to see what Jaylen Warren can do when he's in the starting lineup.

The swap of Warren for Harris as the starting running back should happen soon, but it won't happen until the team is out of the playoffs.

Pittsburgh could benefit greatly from the situation as it would rest Harris' legs a bit and possibly find a running mate for him in Warren.
