The Men's T20 World Cup match between India and Bangladesh was affected by rain and ended in a five-run victory for India.

They were given a scare by the Tigers, who raced to 660-0 in seven overs, chasing 185, before rain halted play.

Bangladesh's target was revised to 141 off 16 overs after they were 17 runs ahead of theDLS par score.

A furious Das slipped on the wet pitch and was run out shortly after the restart, with the tigers then losing regular seamers in a flawless display by India.

Needing 20 from the last over, Hasan hit two sixes and a four to take the game to the last ball.

A six would have made it a tie and a super over, but seamer Arshdeep Singh held his nerve and conceded just a single.

If India beat Zimbabwe in their final game, they will be top of Group 2 and Bangladesh will need to beat Pakistan to make the semi-finals.

India's post 184-6 was helped by KLRahul's fifty and the third half-century of the tournament by the skipper.

The rain and India's nerveless fielding ensuredBangladesh's 11th defeat in 12 T20s against India.

Bangladesh frustrated by DLS controversy

At the halfway stage, India's total of 185 felt well beyond Bangladesh's reach.

He didn't play with fear or respect for India's pace bowlers.

It was a heroic effort from the opener to ensure his side were so far ahead of the par score after the powerplay, finding the boundary regularly with a combination of power and flair, and a ramp over his shoulder for six off Bhuvneshwar Kumar the highlight.

Bangladesh needed 85 from the last nine overs to be certain of victory. They needed to score at a higher run-rate in order to get into such a strong position.

The captain gestured to the umpires that it wasn't safe to resume yet.

After the delay, Das tried for a second run from the second ball. The playing conditions will be a major talking point because of Das' slip, which may have cost him his life.

India pouched four high catches to ruin Bangladesh's hopes, as the run rate climbed, after the collapse of six for 42 runs, which was triggered by Das' dismissal.

South Africa and Zimbabwe were the last two games to be abandoned by rain.

The story has been against India. "We are always close but never close enough to cross the line."

We played a good game of cricket and wanted to have fun. I hope we can continue that.

Sublime Kohli's fine form continues

After scoring half-centuries against Pakistan and the Netherlands, he bounced back against Bangladesh.

Taskin Ahmad conceded just 15 runs from his five overs as the Tigers' bowlers started with discipline.

Withstood it all and was supported by Suryakumar's 30 from 15 balls.

Edges flew past the stumps and catching chances just evaded the fielders before he moved through the gears and deflating the Bangladesh bowlers

The swagger and confidence of old has returned after his 64 not out that took his total of runs to 220.

India will be desperate for their star man to keep up the good work.

He said it was a good day with the bat and he was just trying to play himself into the game. I felt like I was doing a good job. I'm in a good spot.

I'm happy to contribute for my team and I don't want to compare.
