MLB Gold Glove Awards 2022: Full List of Winners and Reaction

Nolan Arenado won his 10th Gold Glove as a third baseman.

According to MLB's Sarah Langs, Arenado is tied with Suzuki for the most Gold Gloves to start a career. He still has a long way to go to match the all-time mark. Robinson was a member of the Baltimore Orioles for 23 years.

The high bar was set by his father. He was the American League's Most Valuable Player in 2004, a nine-time All-Star and eight-time Silver Slugger.

He won a Gold Glove, something his father failed to achieve. At first base, the younger Guerrero was honored by the American League.

Vlad Guerrero Jr. won the American League 2022 Gold Glove Award for first basemen. Some #BlueJays coaches have been claiming it would happen for a few years now, and they were right.

The Cleveland Guardians won the American League Central title in 2022. The team had more Gold Glovers than any other team, setting a franchise record.

This is the first time in franchise history that Cleveland had four Gold Glove recipients in a single season: Steven Kwan, Shane Bieber, Myles Straw and Andrés Giménez. The previous high was 3 in 2000 – 2B Roberto Alomar, SS Omar Vizquel, 3B Travis Fryman.

The first players to do so were St. Louis' Brendan Donovan and New York's DJ LeMahieu. The change was made in order to highlight players who excelled at multiple positions.

The Platinum Glove is given to the best defensive player in each league.

The field in the American League is wide open since Jeremy Pea dethroned Carlos Correa. Arenado has won the Platinum Glove in the NL for five straight years.
