The new monthly pricing for the social network was revealed by Musk.

The verified mark will be included in the price of the service, according to a message by the new CEO. Users in other countries were told that the price they see will be adjusted to their location.

New perks will be given to members of the newTwitter Blue after they pay their subscription. Users will get priority in replies, mentions, and searches, something Musk has been very vocal about.

The new plan will allow for longer videos and audio clips on the platform, as well as halving the number of ads on the platform. Public figures will be given a "secondary tag" beneath their name in order to offer better separation from the pack.

Musk is interested in offering a paywall circumvention for publishers that are willing to work with the social networking site. It's interesting that the ability to read ad-free articles through the subscription plan is no longer available to members of the blue program.

When we first tried it out, we didn't think it was worth the price, but the new additions may bolster the subscription service. The new direction for Twitter Blue is seen by the new CEO as a way to gain a revenue stream that isn't dependent on advertisements.

There have been discussions about how users would be charged for having a verified checkmark. The price for users to keep their marks was thought to be close to the $20 range. We are seeing the increase scaled down, but it is still a three dollar increase from the current plan.

We're left wondering if or not Musk will follow through on a possible Vine resurgence, as we've now settled the score on what's happening with the social network.
