The Jackson State football team will not be allowed to leave their hotel this weekend when they play Texas Southern in Houston, where rapper Takeoff was shot and killed at a bowling alley.

The team's hotel will be visited by family and friends who want to see players.

"I'm sick and tired of the consistency of people that are influential to you are leaving us consistently: That's our rappers," he said. There was a dice game in Houston where takeoff was murdered. All of the people leave that hotel. It won't happen until I give you more notice.

Along with Quavo and Offset, Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was one of the third members of the group.

Takeoff was a sports fan who joined his group to perform at the NBA All-Star game. Quavo and Takeoff released their first album together as a duo.

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young was shocked by the news of Takeoff's killing and had bonds with many pro athletes.

Quavo and Takeoff were at a bowling alley early in the morning. Takeoff was killed by gunfire on Tuesday. Houston police officials told reporters they are looking into the case.

The players were told to be aware of their surroundings as they prepared for the road game.

Jackson State hosted "College GameDay" on Saturday, before it beat Southern 35- 0.

"I don't want you to play that foolish game because you all are valuable to your families, friends, loved ones, and you're valuable to us," he said. Let's take a look at that. We need to pray for the families.
