Quavo and Takeoff are related to each other.

Quavo, also known as Quavious Marshall, formed the group with his nephew Takeoff and his cousin Offset. The group was originally called Polo Club but changed it's name to Migos when they released their first album.

Fans thought their name was inspired by a Spanish word. Quavo and Takeoff said in an interview with Hot 97 that the name had more meaning to them than originally thought.

They said that they ran on the North side as a group. "But actually, it's the hub of drugs out there, so everything that comes to Georgia got to touch the other side of the state first."

Fans speculated that there was tension within the group when they canceled their performance.

Quavo and Takeoff released a new album last month. In November, Offset will release his own solo album.

Takeoff was shot to death in Houston, Texas, before the band could reconcile.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1200 Polk at 2:30 a.m. on November 1st.

Takeoff died in the shooting, according to a representative. Quavo was a guest at the party where the shooting took place.
