He has 26 catches for 395 yards and three touchdown in seven games. He went from last place in the North to first place with the Vikings.
Irv Smith Jr., a tight end for the Vikings, is expected to be out eight to 10 weeks with an ankle injury.
After Tyler Conklin signed with the New York Jets in free agency, there were questions about the Vikings' depth at tight end. The Vikings and Lions have traded a number of times this year. The Lions selected receiver Jameson Williams with the 12th pick of the first round.
In four years with the Lions, he has 186 catches for 2,058 yards and 15 touchdown. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2020 after setting career highs in catches and yards.
After this season, he will be an unrestricted free agent.
The Lions' starting tight end is expected to be replaced by Brock Wright.
