Qatar Airways Offering Up To 30% Transfer Bonus

The transfer bonus launched by the Privilege Club of theQatar Airways could be useful for collecting other "flavors" of theAvios.

Transfer points to Privilege Club with 30% bonus

You can get a bonus when you convert your bank or hotel points into Privilege Club Avios.

• Convert the equivalent of up to 30,000 Avios and receive a 20% bonus
• Convert the equivalent of over 30,000 Avios and receive a 30% bonus

The bonus is based on how many points you transfer in a transaction rather than cumulatively.

Transfer partners that are participating are:

Ahli Bank Oman, Ahli Bank Qatar, Ahli United Bank, Air Miles, Axis Bank, Banque Saudi Fransi, Cathay United Bank, CBQ, CIMB, Citibank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Doha Bank, Dukhan Bank, Emirates Islamic Bank, Hana, HSBC (Hong Kong, Mexico, Taiwan and USA),  Hyundai Card, Kasikorn Bank, Kuwait Finance House, Mashreq, Masraf Al Rayan, Oman Arab Bank, Ping An, Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), QIB, QNB, Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore), ALL – Accor Live Limitless, Centara Hotels & Resorts, Fliggy, Hyatt Hotels, Shangri-La Circle and Ooredoo (Qatar).

The only major program in the US that is valuable is Citi ThankYou. Marriott Bonvoy is not included in the list of hotel partners that allow you to convert points into points.

You won't see the bonus reflected directly with partners because it's on the airline's end. BonusAvios will post within 45 days after you transfer points to your account.

Use this offer to earn British Airways Avios

The new rewards currency for the Privilege Club isAvios. It is possible to transfer the rewards currency at a 3:1 ratio between different programs. British Airways Executive Club and Aer Lingus AerClub are included.

You can use the offer to convert Citi ThankYou points into British Airways points with a 30% bonus. Many will be interested in that, but keep in mind that the bonus won't post immediately. This won't be as useful to some as the other bonuses we've seen.

Bottom line

You can get up to a 300% bonus when converting bank or hotel points. It's a good opportunity for those with ThankYou points to convert them to British Airways Executive Club.
