Scotland return to action with a friendly double-header
Scotland return to action with a friendly double-header after last month's World Cup heartbreak

Scotland will play Panama and Venezuela in Spain in a pair of friendly games next month.

Several experienced players are not included.

Six people are drafted in, including Glasgow City keepererin Clachers.

Scotland lost to Republic of Ireland in October and missed out on a World Cup spot.

  • What now for Scotland after World Cup failure?

The team will play Venezuela and Panama on the same day.

There is a training camp for the 26 strong squad from November 7 to 15 in Spain.

They are all in the running for a senior cap.

The period gives us the chance to give opportunities to other players and a younger squad to see what they can do.

It's a problem of the women's game, it's how you give these young players this international experience.

We have a responsibility for the future. At the moment we can do this kind of hybrid squad, but we would like to include the under-23s.
