Multiple sources say that Pedro Grifol is expected to be the next manager of the Chicago White Sox.

Grifol has been on the staff of the Kansas City Royals for the past four years. He was interviewed by the Royals for their managerial position but was replaced by Matt Quatraro.

Grifol played collegiately at Florida State University and reached Triple-A after nine seasons in the minor leagues.

Tony La Russa began his second stint as manager of the White Sox in 2021. The White Socks finished at.500 and out of the playoffs. The manager, Tony La Russa, was out late in the year due to health issues. At the end of the season, La Russa was not going to return as manager.
