The rocket is for the U.S. space force. This is the 4th launch of the company's heavy payloads launch vehicle. It marks the 50th launch of the company.

One of the two U.S. space force satellites that will be launched today is classified as a national defence satellite.

While it uses Falcon Heavy less often than its other rockets, it has a good track record. TheFalcon Heavy has three boosters for added thrust and lift capacity.

The success of the landing of the side boosters marked the 150th and 151st successful landings of the rockets. Since the center core was expendable, it was not recovered.
