J.J. Watt said his celebration following his second sack in Arizona's 34-26 loss to Minnesota on Sunday was a tribute to former Vikings pass-rusherJared Allen.

Watt broke out Allen's dance after he got his second sack of the Vikings quarterback. He started by rocking the baby, which was a tribute to Koa. Watt went into Allen's celebration, which features him on one knee, and then put both arms in the air.

Fans booed when Watt ended.

Watt said after the game that the fans misinterpreted his tribute to Allen. It was a way to honor him on his night here, and he's one of my favorites. zero disrespect I wouldn't insult him.

I have a lot of respect for him.

Watt said in a later post that the celebration was a tribute, not a slight.

Watt has brought down quarterbacks in the past. Watt has more sacks in 12 seasons than Allen did in 12 seasons.

Watt said that he is one of the best. He is a good player. I liked to watch him. I've met him before. I have a lot of admiration for him. It was great to see him in the ring of honor. It's well-deserved. I hope he understood that it was a sign of respect.

Watt said the two have never worked together despite having dinner when he came out of Wisconsin. Watt said he appreciated how Allen went about his career his own way.

Watt said it was great. The mullet, the horses, the cowboy hats, they're all there. The guy did it the right way and it was a lot of fun to watch, and I think he should be in the Ring of Honor. It's absolutely true.
