Bojan Bogdanovi and the Detroit Pistons have agreed to a two-year, $39.1 million contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 25th century.
The final year of a four-year, $73 million deal he signed with the Utah Jazz in June was the one where he made $19.5 million.
In September, the Pistons acquired the veteran in a trade with the Jazz, sending Kelly Olynyk, and cash considerations to Utah in exchange for the veteran.
Each of Detroit's first six games has started with Bogdanovi. He's shooting 51.7 percent from the floor and 51.1 percent from deep while scoring 23.0 points, 3.5 rebound and 2.0 assists.
Stein reported in September that he was seeking a multiyear extension for the NBA player. It's clear that the Pistons values him as both a leader and a player.
Cunningham told reporters earlier this week that he was a rising star.

In two seasons with the Pacers, the Croatian averaged 16.1 points in 161 games. In 204 games with the Jazz, he averaged 18.4 points per game.
In Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors, Bogdanovi will try to extend his hot start to the season.
