Multiple news outlets reported Sunday that the man who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband brought multiple zip ties to the house.

CNN reported on Sunday that the suspect had a bag with zip ties, duct tape and other things.
Police said DePape yelled "Where's Nancy?". CNN reported that the attacker tried to tie up Paul Pelosi during the attack after breaking into the Pelosi family's home.
The San Francisco Police Department did not respond to requests for comment from Forbes.
The police said they saw Pelosi and DePape fighting over a hammer before DePape grabbed it and attacked Pelosi. San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said that the officers tackled and disarmed De Pape. He was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse and other crimes. Pelosi's condition continues to improve according to his wife. Several conspiracy theories relating to the 2020 presidential election were shared by DePape on his Facebook page. Many elected officials say they have faced an onslaught of harassment and threats in the wake of the January 6 Capitol riot, when former President Donald Trump's supporters were fueled by false claims the 2020 election was rigged. Some of the rioters went to Pelosi's office and said they were looking for her.
There is a link between Friday's attack and the January 6 riot. Guy Reffitt brought zip ties and a handgun with him to the Capitol and joked about dragging Nancy Pelosi down the stairs of the building, according to testimony at his trial. One of the longest sentences to date was given to him. Photographs show a man with plastic zip ties inside the Capitol. The mother and son were arrested for their involvement in the riots.
