Multiple news outlets reported Sunday that the man who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband brought multiple zip ties to the house.
CNN reported on Sunday that the suspect had a bag with zip ties, duct tape and other things.
Police said DePape yelled "Where's Nancy?". CNN reported that the attacker tried to tie up Paul Pelosi during the attack after breaking into the Pelosi family's home.
The San Francisco Police Department did not respond to requests for comment from Forbes.
The police said they saw Pelosi and DePape fighting over a hammer before DePape grabbed it and attacked Pelosi. San Francisco Police Chief William Scott said that the officers tackled and disarmed De Pape. He was charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse and other crimes. Some of the rioters went to Pelosi's office and said they were looking for her.
There is a link between Friday's attack and the January 6 riot. Guy Reffitt brought zip ties and a handgun with him to the Capitol and joked about dragging Nancy Pelosi down the stairs of the building, according to testimony at his trial.
