Julia Roberts was born at the same time as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
According to Roberts, the civil rights activist and his wife covered the hospital bill for her birth. My hospital bill was paid for by the King family. She said that her parents couldn't afford the hospital bill.
The actress said that her parents attended a theater school in Atlanta called the Actors and Writers workshop. One day, Coretta Scott King called my mother and asked if her children could attend the school because they were having a hard time finding a place that would accept them. They all became friends after my mom told them to come over.
A Ku Klux Klan member blew up a car outside of the theater after Phillip DePoy kissed the daughter of Martin and Coretta.
A Buick exploded after DePoy kissed a girl. The back of the truck was turned into a swamp. I was a wild animal. She was a terrapin. In 1965, I was 15 years old and we were in Atlanta. I was mostly white and the girl was black. The problem was about that. I know who blew it up.
