The top of the table has been moved back to Manchester City by the result of the weekend's games. You can watch LaLiga, Bundesliga, MLS, more on the US version of the network. Gabriel Martinelli headed home in the fifth minute to give the Gunners a lead they wouldn't relinquish, but they lost a player in the first half. His replacement, Reiss Nelson, scored two goals in the second half before Thomas Partey made it a four goal game. In the 78th minute, Martin Odegaard made sure of the score. Player ratings, best and worst performers, highlights and notable moments, post match quotes, and key statistics are included in the jump. The England winger fell awkwardly under a challenge from Forest left-back Renan Lodi in the 17th minute and had to leave the field. After he went down again, a member of the medical team walked over to Mikel Arteta and told him that he needed to be taken off. The England international has played a lot of football this season. One of the pillars of Arteta's revival has been his creativity and dynamism, as evidenced by the fact that he has made appearances in all five of the club's European ties. It was significant that Arteta chose a replacement. Nelson, who hadn't played a minute in the premier league this season, got the nod, and he delivered. Nelson stole the show in the second half with a well taken first goal before adding a second moments later as he arrived at the right time to nod home a cross from Gabriel Jesus One that paid off was the replacement for the 22-year-old who was on loan at Hoffenheim and Feyenoord. Nelson will need to give more performances like he did in the second half if Saka is out for a long time. After the defeat at PSV, Arteta spoke of needing a reset. Three wins against Bodo/Glimt, Leeds United and PSV were followed by a rare draw againstSouthampton and a 2-0 loss against PSV. It was time for the team to show their new mentality as they faced a Forest side still buzzing from an upset win overLiverpool. It took just a short time to show that. Within five minutes, Arteta's side had taken the lead as Martinelli headed in a superb delivery. The game was effectively over before Partey got in on the action with a superb strike from the edge of the box. Odegaard hit a left-footed rocket for the fifth goal of the game. The attacking efforts of the team were more clinical than in the past. Arteta's request for a reset was delivered. A comfortable win over Forest could be seen as respite for a side that had begun to look a little tired. Next, they have to win their first two games in the Europa League and then face two other teams in the final two games of the season. If they win there, they'll go into the break at the top of the table and have a great start to the season. Staying ahead of Manchester City will be important if they want to win a title. stark viewing is provided by Forest's record transfer spending The newly promoted side spent over £150 million on 23 players this summer, but it has not gone to plan. They are at the bottom of the table with two wins, one over West Ham and the other againstLiverpool. It's not easy to judge Forest in games against teams they were always expected to lose, but the nature of Sunday's loss will worry Steve Cooper. Brennan Johnson scored the only away goal so far this season. The City Ground isn't a fortress. A grim picture is painted by it. The fact the club sacked head of recruitment George Syrianos and head of scouting Andy Scott earlier this month points to a summer of regret as two of their big-name arrivals from that period were put in pedestrian. They need to get back on the path to survival and put that behind them. Nelson 9, Nketiah N/A, Nketiah N/A, Soares N/A, and Viera were on the subs. The forest had Henderson, Cook, Lodi, Aurier, Freuler, Kouyate, Yates and Awon. Johnson, Dennis, O'Brien, and Williams were on the subs. Nelson passed the test despite his small stature as big boots were left to fill. The 22-year-old could prove to be a worthwhile understudy if Saka misses time. In the kind of game where he thrives, the former England international did very little. He was taken off by manager Steve Cooper. The lead was taken by Martinelli. Nelson said that everyone got into the game and it was great to play in. Couldn't have been better for me after I came on. The goals and assist made me happy. I trained hard for my chance and tried my best to get it.
He said that it was a huge shame for the nation and that they would check on his condition. It's great to have him in the team, he's a great boy. We are doing our best for the team. Hopefully we can go all the way now that we are top.
"Hopefully not," Arteta said when asked if he would miss the World Cup. He was limping but I don't think it's anything more than a bad kick. He got kicked a few times.
Nelson is evolving and maturing and his teammates and staff are happy for him. Every day, he shows how much he wants it. He helped us win the game today because he had an opportunity.
Steve Cooper said that they don't just have to take it on the chin. Today, we fell short. In any professional sport the minimum is to be accounted and fight and be hard to be, and we didn't do that well enough at the beginning of the game.
We had some moments in the first half where we looked a threat, and the second half was about continuing that, but the start of the second half was not competitive enough. When you're competing, there can be tackles, even fouls. If you aren't going to do that at this level then you're going to get hurt.
Only three teams in Europe's top five leagues have won each of their home games.
They wanted to start the season with six home wins for the first time in over a year.
Martinelli has scored five goals in 12 games. In 29 appearances, he scored six goals.
Three first-half goals have been allowed by the team. In Europe's top five leagues, only Lazio and Atalanta have allowed less.
Nelson scored his first goal in the premier league in over a year. Shortly after, I got another.
Nelson scored his second career club-level double and first since October of last year with Hoffenheim.
The Forest have scored one goal in seven away games.
Since the start of last season, Gabriel Jesus has assisted on 13 goals in the English premier league, ranking third behind Kevin De Bruyne and Mohammed Salah.
Next Sunday at 7 a.m., the club will travel to London to take on the Blues. There is an hour and a half later. Their last game before the World Cup is against Wolves on Nov. 12 at 2.50 p.m. There is an hour and a half later.
The next three games for Forest will be at home. Next in the league are Brentford and Crystal Palace, followed by a home game against Spurs in the cup.
