Russia is suspending its involvement in the internationally brokered deal that allowsUkraine to export grain from its Black Sea ports.

Russia accused Ukraine of attacking the Black Sea Fleet with drones.

President Zelensky said the Russian move was predictable.

Russia accused British troops of involvement in the attack.

The UK was accused of blowing up gas pipes.

The UK Ministry of Defence accused Russia of peddling false claims.

Russia's defence ministry says drones were used in Saturday's attack. One vessel was damaged.

The foreign ministry in Moscow said that the Russian side couldn't guarantee the safety of civilian dry cargo ships participating in the Black Sea Initiative.

The move was made in connection with the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces, which were led by British specialists.

Moscow said that only a minesweeper had sustained damage.

It is not known if that is the case, with reports suggesting that the flagship frigate was also hit. This war includes claims and counterclaims.

Zelensky said that Russia blocked the movement of ships with food produce in September.

"Why is it that a small group of people in the Kremlin can decide if there will be food on the table of people in Egypt or Bangladesh?" he asked.

The UN and the world's twenty largest economies need a strong international response, according to Mr Zelensky.

The White House claimed that Russia was making food.

The UN was in contact with Moscow, according to a spokesman.

The Black Sea Grain Initiative is an effort to improve access to food for millions of people around the world.

When Russia invaded the country, grain exports from the Black Sea were halted.

It was personally negotiated by the UN secretary general and was celebrated as a major diplomatic victory.

Russia had previously suggested it might not extend the deal because of its own difficulties in exporting.

A key base for President Putin's forces during the invasion of Ukraine has been the Russian-annexed peninsula of Crimea.

The Russian defence ministry accused the British navy of helping the Ukrainians prepare for the attack.

The same unit was involved in planning and executing the terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on September 26th.

The Russian Ministry of Defence is resorting to peddling false claims of an epic scale in order to detract from their disastrous handling of the illegal invasion of Ukraine.

The story says more about the Russian government than it does about the west.

France said it didn't think the allegations were true.

US and Ukrainian officials say that Russia has been engaged in a campaign of misinformation, with claims that the Ukrainian government is preparing to use a dirty bomb.

The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the Moskva, was sunk by Ukrainian forces in April. The sinking of the 510-crew missile cruiser was a big blow to the Russian navy.

There was a blast on the bridge that symbolizes Russia's annexation of the peninsula.

Three people were killed in the blast.
