Todd Field's film " Tr" expanded to 1,087 theaters nationwide where it made $1 million. The Venice Film Festival gave a top acting award to Blanchett for her performance as a composer and conductor.
Over the weekend, there were 58 theaters and 12 new markets for the film. The film made $540,000. Next weekend, the Searchlight Pictures release will be expanded to over 800 locations.
