At a rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Saturday, former President Barack Obama rebuked Ron Johnson, a Republican.
The former president criticized the incumbent senator for supporting a tax plan that would allow people to write off the cost of private planes, while also supporting a plan that would put Medicare and Social Security on the chopping block.
As he spoke in support of Barnes, Obama asked the crowd to think about who would fight for them.
At the time of writing, the video excerpt from the speech had received over 7 million views.

The adult children of Johnson bought three private planes. Carpool was not an option. Do you need three? Sen. Johnson supported a plan to put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block every year.
Social Security and Medicare should be approved by Congress annually as discretionary spending, rather than being federal entitlement programs, according to Johnson.
The crowd and their family are likely to be on Social Security according to Obama.
They have social security. They worked hard to get it. They did a lot of hard work for it. Their hands are dry. They had long hours and sore backs to get that security.
If Ron Johnson doesn't understand that seniors who have worked all their lives are able to retire with dignity and respect if he doesn't understand giving tax breaks for private planes more than he understands, he is not the person who is thinking about you and knows you.
Videos of the oratory of the former president were shared on social media.
It was Obama's second rally appearance over the weekend, as the former president has stepped into the spotlight to raise support for Democrats
According to The Washington Post, strategists say that Obama is the only leader that can motivate crowds without also angering the other side, and that the former president is seen as his party's top communicator.
