The rise of hate speech on social media is scary and should be taken seriously by the new owner of the site.

According to the Washington Post, trollers tried to test the limits of the app's moderation by flooding the site with anti-LGBTQ slurs and sexist comments.
Critics of Musk's acquisition of Twitter warned that the new CEO and owners leadership could cause the platform to become a "supercharged engine of radicalization" due to the increase in such content.
The social media platform should follow the laws of the land according to Musk. The First Amendment protects hate speech, even though it is not clearly defined.
Since Musk took control of the company, the rules on hate speech have not changed.
Most of the accounts that were described as "inauthentic" were from the same 300 accounts.
There is no place for hate in this place. A stop to an organized effort to make people think we have is being taken.
Musk said Friday that he would create a moderation council.
There will be no major content decisions or account restatements before the council. Who will make up the council body has not been announced yet.
