Jake Paul won a fight over one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.

Paul defeated Anderson Silva by a unanimous decision at Desert Diamond Arena.

As a kid, Paul was a big fan of Silva.

Paul said that he was his hero as a child. He made me want to be good.

This was the toughest match up to date for Paul. Silva left the UFC in 2020 and went on to win a boxing match against a former world champion.

Three UFC fighters have been defeated by Paul: Silva, Tyron and Ben Askren.

The UFC luminary was called out by Paul, who said that he was in attendance to support his teammate. There was an altercation backstage between Paul's team and Diaz's team. The fighter became a free agent after his fight.

"Stop being a b--- and fight me," Paul said.

Silva dropped his hands and egged Paul in the second round of the competition. Silva had a lot of good combinations, but Paul had a lot of bad ones.

The middle rounds were very close. Paul hit Silva in the late rounds. In the eighth, Paul clipped Silva with a right and dropped him.

Silva said that Jake was better than him. I don't have anything bad to say about my opponent.

Paul threw more jabs and power punches than Silva. Paul landed more punches than Silva, landing 32 jabs and 81 punches.

The judges scored the bout 78- 73 for Paul, and the judge scored it 77- 74 for Paul.

Silva said that sometimes his half-human fails.

The two men agreed to a bet at the news conference. Paul would do a second fight with Silva if he won. Silva would help Paul start an association for MMA fighters to help them get paid more and get better healthcare if he won the election. Paul wanted Silva to be the interim president.

UFC fighters, all MMA fighters and boxers will get more pay and long-term healthcare as a result of a united fighters association being formed. Since the start of my career, I've wanted to do that.

Paul's move into boxing is not slowing down. The polarizing pugilist has a win over a combat sports icon on his record.

Paul said that people would say that he couldn't swim if he walked on water. There will always be critics.

Paul wants to become a world champion in boxing. Immediately after beating Silva, he called out the winner of the previous night's Golden Gloves competition.

Paul said this definitely moved him in that direction. Silva is very difficult. Tough. Under my belt, it's great. It has been 212 years. I don't know what I can achieve. I will let you know.

In a four-round bout, former UFC fighter Uriah Hall defeated Le'Veon Bell by unanimous decision. Hall has been a pro MMA fighter for 17 years.

"This is the toughest sport in the world, and I give you a lot of props," Hall said of Bell after the fight. I'm proud of you. I was surprised by him. He's doing well.

Bell knocked out AdrianPeterson in an exhibition bout. Bell was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl running back for the PittsburghSteelers.

Hall is tied for the most knockouts in UFC history with eight. He stopped working for the UFC in August.

Hall wanted a fight with Paul.

"I'm the guy that's going to expose him," he said. If Anderson doesn't do it, I'll be the one to do it.
