Our latest cloud investor survey gave me a lot to think about, from the future of cloud management to cloud spend in the age of machine learning. It came to my mind again when I read the report. Is it too early for a startup to go that route? Anna would like to look into it.

Where the money’s at

There is a limit to the cloud market. IfAlphabet's earnings missed expectations in the third quarter, it's not because of the company's cloud business. Microsoft's "Azure and other cloud services" increased in size.

A key factor that makes cloud revenue resilient is committed spend. Independent software vendors who sell through their marketplaces will benefit from this.
