The team and owner of the Nets condemned Irving's actions after he promoted an antisemitic film and book.

A film based on a book full of anti-semitic misinformation is not something that I am happy about. It is wrong for a man of faith to promote hate based on race, ethnicity or religion.

According to an earlier report from Rolling Stone, the movie "Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America" is filled with antisemitic stereotypes. The movie is based on a book.

Irving did not address his decision to promote the movie.

The Brooklyn Nets have no tolerance for promoting any form of hate speech. Our first action must be open and honest. We would like to thank those who have supported us during this time.

A number of antisemitic comments made by Ye, the rapper formerly known as West, have been made recently. Adidas, Gap, Foot Locker and other companies have stopped doing business with Ye.

The Anti-Defamation League applauded the move by Adidas.

Irving was benched by the Nets for not getting vaccinations. His ability to play may be affected by his social media post.

The Pacers are playing the Nets on Saturday.
