Henry Cavill explains why he’s waiting on the RTX 4090

Early in the Pandemic, a video showing Henry Cavill building his own gaming PC went public. In a recent interview with Digital Trends, the actor talked about his upcoming film, as well as getting a status update on his gaming rig, and he's eyeing some big upgrades in the future.

While he is looking at the RTX 4090, he hasn't decided on a new graphics card. Time will tell with the specifications of the cards, but I am waiting for them to come out.

It's safe to assume that Cavill isn't the only one waiting on a graphics card upgrade. The release of the RTX 4080 on November 16 could be a good time to buy a high-end PC.

At the moment, Cavill's computer is in question. He said that at the moment he is probably going to stick with the chip from Advanced Micro Devices. It seems that the next era of his gaming rig is going to be the one with the flagship Ryzen 9 7950X. It isn't a simple upgrade.

The actor said he was slightly disappointed to learn he had to buy a new board as well as everything else. The Core i9-13900K and Core i5-13 600K are the same as the previous generation. It's the first time in six years that the company has changed the sockets on the board.

The best components for a future PC upgrade have not yet been decided. Cavil said that the top-end PC will shift as soon as the new gear arrives. I just bought a new PSU and it was a challenge because it was a bigger one than the previous one. I had to remove every single cable and cord because they needed to be both larger gauge and better cables, so it turned into a bit of a fiddle.

The actor shared photos of his upgrade to the all-in-one liquid cooler in his PC, as well as a picture of his Noctua fans.

Once all the new hardware is out, we should get another update on the PC. Fans can look forward to the return of Cavill as the Man of Steel as well as the sequel to Enola.
