You can watch the destruction of the building on Saturday.
Building 4200 was the administrative headquarters of Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama from 1962 to 2020. It's coming down to make way for a series of new, state-of-the-art facilities tailored to help NASA map out the next century's worth of discoveries in space.
The demolition can be watched live at Space.com or via NASA TV. At 8 a.m., the webcast will start. It is not clear when it will end.
Building 4200 was supposed to be updated in the year 2030. NASA decided to demolish Building 4200 instead of repairing and maintaining it because of structural problems in the wall panels.
