Eric Burton lost track of the lyrics to "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the opening game of the World Series.
With players and staff lined up on the field for the traditional pre-game ceremony and a giant American flag being unfurled across the field, the band leader went off track. He said, "What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last streaming" instead of "gleaming."
He said, "Our broad stripes and bright stars through the dangerous fight." He backtracked to "What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last" before singing "streaming" again.
Burton picked up on the red glare of the rocket and the bomb in the air.
The concert for President Joe Biden's inauguration was broadcasted on TV.
That's right.
