The 49ers are willing to listen to offers for running back Jeff Wilson Jr.

With a crowded backfield, the team could be motivated to move Wilson for the right return.

Wilson has been with the 49ers for five years and has rushed for 454 yards and two touchdown in seven games. He has caught eight passes.

Wilson's best year in San Francisco was in 2020 when he ran for 600 yards and seven touchdown. He had 133 yards and three touchdown catches.

San Francisco might not have as much of a need for Wilson anymore due to the fact that they have a top running back in Christian McCaffrey. The Niners also have Tyrion-Davis Price and Jordan Mason.

Elijah Mitchell, who has been out with a knee injury, is expected to return to the lineup soon.

It's not clear which teams would like to add Wilson. The Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks all need more depth at running back in the second half of the season.

Josh Allen is leading the Bills with 257 rushing yards. He has 10 fewer carries than Singletary.

Cook and Moss have both rushed for 97 and 91 yards.

Darrell Henderson leads the team with 181 yards on 46 carries and the Rams could use some depth behind him. Malcolm Brown is the only other running back on the team.

Kenneth Walker III, who has been elevated to the starting role, could use some depth. Walker has scored four times in six games.

DeeJay Dallas and Tony Jones Jr. are the only other running backs.

It's not clear if any of those teams are interested in Wilson, with the running back market ahead of the trade deadline expected to include Akers, Hunt and possibly David Montgomery.
