Prince, a basketball player for the University of Oregon, needs surgery on her elbow and will not be able to continue her collegiate career. After graduating in May, the forward will focus on recovery and hopes to play professionally.

Prince said in a statement that he was sad. This was the year that I could showcase my work ethic and skills on the court, as well as my self- growth and leadership ability.

She tried to play this season despite the injury, but decided it was best to prepare for the future.

Prince said that he needs to take care of his elbow in order to ensure long-term health. It's sad that I can't play with my teammates this season. I am thankful for the entire community of Eugene for their continued support and inspiration.

While competing in the summer for USA Basketball, Prince broke her leg and didn't play for the Longhorns. Prince spoke to Dan Murphy about her concerns with the medical care she received at Texas before she transferred to Oregon.

The disparity between weight-room facilities at the men's and women's NCAA tournaments was highlighted in a series of videos by Prince. It led to changes from the NCAA, including a gender-equity report that looked at the disparity in NCAA Championships.

Prince played in 50 games in college. In 30 games last season, she averaged 9.3 points and 4.9 rebound for the University of Oregon, who went 20-12 and lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Oregon coach Kelly Graves said that they are going to miss the area. She has done a lot of great things for the program and the university. Her impact on collegiate athletics has been immense and will be felt for generations to come.
