It seems like Jeff Goldblum is the perfect person to play the great and powerful Oz in a movie. He will be playing the man behind the curtain in Wicked. According to Variety, Goldblum is in the final stages of negotiations to play the wizard in the two-part film adaptation.
Ariana Grande will play Glinda, Cynthia Erivo will play Elphaba, and Jonathan Bailey will play Fiyero in the movie. Gregory Maguire wrote a series of novels that gave off-color endings to well known fairy tales. The tale tells how Glinda and Elphaba were once students at an academy of magic in Oz and became the Good and Bad Witches.
The two parts of Wicked will be released in two years.
