The NBA star is going to root for the Cleveland browns.
James said that he switched his loyalties from the Dallas Cowboys to the ClevelandBrowns because of the Cowboys' policy of not standing during the national anthem.
I had to sit out of the Cowboys game. James said a lot of things during the live stream. The guys wanted to do it in a peaceful way. A lot of people in the front office and the organization were against it. I didn't think that was right.
Landon Buford @LandonBufordLeBron James on why he’s not @dallascowboys fan anymore:
“Nah man I had to sit put on the Cowboys man. It just a things that were going on when guys were kneeling... [The] organization were like if do that around here you won’t play for this franchise again.”#DallasCowboys pic.twitter.com/gYusCcs8KY
James said that he still likes a lot of the players on the team, but he's now "all-in" on the Cleveland team.
In response to players kneeling during the national anthem in protest against racial discrimination and police brutality, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters that the team's policy was to stand.
"In general, I will speak for one, and everyone knows where we stand, and we stand as a team," he said.
It's not clear if the Cowboys still have that policy, but a player knelt during the anthem for the 2020 season after speaking with Jones.
After moving away from the Cowboys, James decided to go back to being a fan of Ohio State, so he went back to being a fan of the Browns.
