There were fraud and corruption charges against the Brazilian soccer player.

The charges were made against the Paris St-Germain and Brazil forward and others accused in a trial.

The prosecutors wanted a two-year jail term and a 10 million euro fine for the man.

The charges against all the accused were withdrawn.

The other defendants in the case were the parents and two clubs.

He denied the allegations and said he didn't remember if he was involved in negotiations. Two years after an agreement was reached, he moved to Barcelona.

The investment firm argued that it lost out because the transfer fee was not as high as it could have been. According to the lawyer, there were clubs that offered up to 60 million dollars.

At the time of the deal, Barcelona said the fee was 57.1m euros, of which 40m was paid to his family, and that DIS received a 40% share of the rest.

A trial was brought by Spanish prosecutors after the Brazilian footballer lost an appeal.

DIS wanted a five-year jail term for Neymar, as well as prison sentences for Rosell and Bartomeu, and a 149 million euro fine. The prosecutors wanted a five-year jail term for Rosell, plus an 8.4m euros fine for Barcelona, as well as a two-year sentence for Neymar and 10 million euros fine.

The lawyers for the family claimed that Spanish courts don't have the power to prosecute them because the acts were committed by Brazilian nationals outside of Spain.

In Brazil, the alleged crimes were not punished.
