The deal to buy the company from Musk is expected to be completed on Thursday. Users of the social media site are bracing for the return of white supremacists like former president Donald Trump, who was banned shortly after his attempted coup at the U.S. Capitol.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk fired the CEO, CFO, policy executive, and general counsel. Edgett was kicked out of the San Francisco headquarters of the social networking site.

It is not known who Musk will install in order to replace all those people, but he will be the CEO.

The bird is free, according to Musk.

In countries like China, where apps like WeChat handle a much larger variety of services, including payments, Musk has expressed interest in turning the micro-messaging service into a "super app".

The hostile takeover deal at $52.40 per share, which Musk tried to nix over supposed concern about the number of bots onTwitter, includes financing from U.S. The company contributed 500 million to the deal, according to the CEO.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the company will take on $13 billion in debt in order to become a private company.

The Washington Post reported last week that members of the Biden administration were considering putting the deal under a national security review due to Musk's ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

On Thursday, Musk issued a statement on the social media platform outlining his vision for the future. Musk promised advertisers that the site wouldn't become a "free-for-all hellscape."

Many far-right users praised Musk for buying the platform and immediately firing executives. Ian Miles Cheong, who used to work for Milo Yiannopoulos, encouraged his followers to post offensive meme. The thread was filled with transphobic, racist, and antisemitic messages that regular users of the site are concerned will become more prevalent now that Musk is the owner of the site.

Yiannopoulos, a Nazi-adjacent shock personality who in recent years transitioned into a gay conversion therapy guru, is one of many people who have had their accounts taken away from them because of their extreme views on social media. Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, anti-Muslim bigot Laura Loomer, holocaust denier Chuck Johnson, and former Trump advisor Roger Stone are also included.

Is it still possible for all American brands to appear next to David Duke's brand of race- hate? It's probably not. Advertisers have expressed concerns about everything from hate on the platform to Musk's potential conflicts of interest accepting automotive advertising.

The Wall Street Journal reported this week that at least a dozen major brands have asked to stop advertising on the social networking site when Donald Trump is back in office. According to the Wall Street Journal, advertising accounted for 8.8% of the company's revenue last year, and any shortfall is unlikely to be made up in a subscription based model.

Even though Trump has previously said he wouldn't re- join, that's bullshit. Since he left office, the public has largely ignored Trump's activities on Truth Social, a rival social media site.

For the past decade, it has been the digital water cooler of political journalists because of its small size. Getting back on the social networking site would allow Trump to get the attention he so desperately craves and would allow him to start sowing the seeds of hate and division before he decides to run for president again.

The timing of Musk's purchase is great for Trump since he will have plenty of time to get his messages out before the state primaries and caucuses. Trump followers will not accept a result that doesn't see Republicans win the majority of votes. President Biden is almost certain to be impeached by the Republicans if they win the House.

It will get worse before it improves.
