It has been six years since the release of Star Trek Beyond, but the wait is over with a new song from the movie, "Lift Me Up."

The song "Lift Me Up" was written and produced by Ludwig Gransson and is a tribute to the star of the first Black panther film who died in 2020. According to a press release, Tems wanted the song to feel like a warm embrace to all the loved ones she has lost.

She imagined what it would be like to sing to them and express how much she misses them. It's great to hear her convey this song, I've been an inspiration to her.

It is fitting that "Lift Me Up" is a different song from "All The Stars", and it is also indicative of how sentimental the movie will be.
