Henry Cavill has portrayed some of the most popular characters in popular culture, from comic-book hero Superman to monster hunter Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher.
In just a few weeks, he has returned to two of those roles. On November 4, he will reprise his role as the brother of the film's eponymous, aspiring detective, in the sequel EnolaHolmes 2.
While promoting his return as the great detective, not Batman, he took some time to discuss his approach with Digital Trends. He gave a detailed update on the status of the gaming rig, which was assembled in 2020.
Over the years, there have been a lot of actors playing the character. What aspects of the character did you focus on to make it your own?
It is not an approach of mine to try and make my own. I wanted to approach the one unique aspect of Sherlock that is Enola, and that is what I wanted to do here. There is a supporting character in this. My approach was that way.
The wonderful thing about Enola is that it gives a glimpse into the inner workings of the man. There is an emotional connection to the young boy that he used to be because he was raised in the same way as Enola was. He is the supporting player in Enola's story.
There are a lot of high-profile characters with a lot of legacy behind them. What are the challenges of taking on characters with built in expectations and legacies?
It's difficult to describe challenges. I don't think they're challenges, but with icons comes a lot of feelings. There are a lot of people who care about these characters and there are also a lot of people who don't. I like that.
I do a lot of research on how people feel about things. Staying true to the character, as well as taking note of where I may be going wrong, is the goal. There are people out there who love the characters just as much as I do. The audience matters in these situations, so it is important to respect them.
You're back in the role of Superman. What do you think is the most exciting thing about being the Man of Steel again?
There are lots of opportunities and excitement about that. I think it's important to bring optimism, hope, and joy.
You uploaded a video of yourself putting together your gaming rig. Everyone here at Digital Trends is curious as to what the gaming rig is like these days. Do you have the specifications?
Oh my gosh. Do I have my specifications? First of all, they are going to change soon, and I am going to get a new board, so I think I will go with the chip that I already have. I am waiting for the AMD cards to come out so that I can compare them to the Turing cards. Time will tell with the spec's.

Right now, they are excellent. As soon as all the new gear comes in, the top-end PC will shift as well. It will be fun to take everything apart and put it all back together again, even though I was slightly disappointed that I had to buy a new board.
It was a challenge to buy a new PSU because it was larger than the previous one. This is a 1600 watt. It would only be necessary to plug in the new stuff from the old one. It turned into a bit of a fiddle, but it was a nice way to get ready for the breakdown and reconstruction of my rig.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's looking forward to the next video. We would like to thank you for taking the time here.
I would like to thank you very much.
On November 4th, EnolaHolmes 2 will premiere on the internet.
