If you don't understand how websites work, you can be in trouble. A stunning amount of people, including a lot of politicians, do not realize that they are publicly visible on the internet.

Consider the case of Jarrod Golden, a Republican candidate for county auditor in Franklin. The official account of the Golden campaign liked a lot of pornography featuring older women. The person operating this account probably didn't know that it was visible to others. Golden nuked his profile after being called out for horniness and later claimed that he had been the target of ahacker.

According to Golden's campaign, he wasn't the one who kept expressing excitement for "hot mombods" dressed in tight lingerie, nor was he the one who would occasionally comment "WOW" when a middle-aged lady would post a picture of her ass. It must have been someone else.

The Franklin County Republican Party is running a very horny man for county auditor that doesn't realize his likes are public. There is a republican candidate in your area.

Golden took his own account down and the political candidate tried to save face by using his campaign's Facebook page to apologize. Golden apologized to anyone offended by the material that was shared or liked by the account, but then blamed the hacker. Golden deleted his Facebook account as well.

The chairman of the Franklin County Republican Party Central Committee blamed the account's activities on a cybercriminal. He told the newspaper that Golden was not campaigning or using the account due to an unknown medical issue.

Despite these claims, Golden's other account activity seems pretty consistent with a modern day GOP political candidate: in addition to MILFs, the would-be politician's other "likes" included posts praising former President Donald Trump.

There is no contact for Golden's campaign as his social accounts have been de-activated and a link to a campaign website is dead. The campaign was put in touch with us after we reached out to the central committee. If we hear back, we will change this story.
