Schumer referred to Georgia as the state where we are going downhill. It's not believable that they will go for Herschel Walker.
Schumer's evaluation was caught when he and Gillibrand were with the president in New York. Herschel Walker, a Trump-backed challenger, is trying to oust the pastor of the legendary Ebenezer Baptist Church. Walker is getting better as he clings to a narrow lead.
The top Senate Democrat told Biden that Fetterman's performance didn't hurt them. Fetterman is trying to flip a seat against Mehmet Oz but the race has grown tighter as Oz's campaign assails Fetterman's health in the wake of his stroke in May Fetterman opened up during the debate about how he might struggle due to his recovery.
Schumer said the party is picking up steam in Nevada, where a Democratic senator is facing a challenge.
Pundits think the Senate majority is too close to call even though they have increased the projected number of Republican House seats. There is a chance that the longest evenly split Senate in history will be replaced in January.
The party's optimism was emphasized by the spokesman.
Schumer believes the Democrats will win, according to a statement.
