The Tom Cruise Bat-shit Crazy Celebrity Zone has been renamed the Ye Bat-shit Crazy Celebrity Zone due to the fact that it has been occupied by Yeezus for so long. If you have read the anti-semitic statements, you will know that Jaylen Brown andAaron Donald cut ties with Donda Sports. Some would say "too little, too late" while Carron J.Phillips would say "never should have"
The Donda Academy was closed for the entire school year, effective immediately, but reopened around midnight. Who doesn't know what that means? The futures of high school athletes who signed on to play basketball at the school are uncertain. The New York Times reported that two tournaments scheduled to host the high-profile "academy" dropped the team from its list of participants.
Normally you would like your school to be accredited and have a campus, so I put "academy" in quotation marks before I said anything. The New York Times story had me dying.
“[Ye] used his star power — and promises of jetting players around the country for high-profile games — to lure elite talent throughout the nation to an apartment complex that served as their base for basketball and a nonaccredited curriculum that was built around online learning.”
The Donda Academy is a lot like Jay-Z's School of Hard Knocks. It's done, got it. It shouldn't be a problem for the two highest ranked prospects, Robert and A.J. Johnson. Overtime Elite, the basketball development group with big-name backers like Drake, Jeff Bezos, and a couple dozen NBA players, is expected to pursue two players, one of whom is currently committed to Kentucky.
The future may be murkier for the less well known players. The mothers of two Donda students expressed concerns to the Times over Ye, but had yet to speak to them. Since the news came out, I think that has changed. Both J.J. and Davius relocated from Chicago to attend the Simi Valley campus/ apartment complex in California and now classes are canceled as much as their founder.
There is no school tomorrow because Donda Academy will be closing for the rest of the school year.
I have never read a school cancellation announcement that was more depressing. The snow day was cut short after an announcement was made that the previous one was wrong.
Part of the email was read.
“Dear Parents and Staff,
Join us tomorrow morning in worship for the return of Donda Academy. With the help of our parents and community, we are back with a vengeance!
The children of Donda are going to change the world.
Apologies for the late email!
See you bright and early!”
I'm afraid to think of what online curriculum these kids are learning because the whole thing sounds like Trump University. Real life kids with bright futures are left wondering what to do next after being bilked out of money, opportunity, and growth. Dropping out is the only logical step.
It's easy to see why they'd sign on the dotted line because of Ye's popularity and cultural status I have the right to change my mind if it comes out that the head of Donda Sports and problematic fuck wit, Antonio Brown, tagged along on the in- home recruiting visits.
While he was flirting with being canceled, a large portion of America's population couldn't separate him from his music. He was given the benefit of the doubt despite the entire control panel flashing warning signs because he continued on as an icon.
I won't tell a bunch of kids "I told you so", so I'll just leave it at "please, fuck off"
