Ja'Marr Chase will be out for four to six weeks with a hip injury.

Chase may be placed on injured reserve. He re-injured the injury in last weekend's win over the Atlanta Falcons.

According to Taylor, Chase was dealing with hip pain.

In his sophomore season at LSU, Chase had 84 catches for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdown while sitting out the 2020 campaign. In his first year in the league, he racked up over 1,500 yards and 13 scores.

In seven games, he has added 47 catches for 605 yards and six touchdown.

He didn't miss any time with the team because of injury. He suffered a knee injury in the senior season of his high school career.

With Chase out, Cincinnati's receiver depth will be challenged, creating an opening in three-wide sets. Mike Thomas will probably get the first shot to fill the void, but Trent Taylor could get more playing time.

Chase had a great season in his first year. He will need to stay healthy in order to establish himself as a high-end No. 1 target in the coming years.
