The details were given by Albert Breer of SportsIllustrated.
Albert Breer @AlbertBreerThe Chiefs have traded a compensatory third-round pick (received for Ryan Poles going to the Bears) and a sixth-rounder to the Giants for WR Kadarius Toney, per source.
The head coach of the Giants briefly commented on the matter.
Charlotte Carroll @charlottecrrllBrian Daboll on Kadarius Toney trade: “Thought it was for the best of the team and wish Kadarius well.”
It was obvious that Toney would leave New York sooner than later. He was drafted by the team's previous regime.
The Giants have had losing records in five of the last six years, so they brought in a new head coach and general manager this year.
There were some questions regarding Toney's status with the organization.
The New York Daily News reported on April 22 that the Giants were looking to move Toney because of concerns about his commitment behind the scenes.
There were injuries that caused Toney to miss seven games as a rookies. His best game of the season was in Week 5 of the Dallas Cowboys when he had 10 reception for 189 yards, but it was overshadowed because he was ejected in the fourth quarter after throwing a punch.

New York has not been affected by Toney's absence. The team is second in the division with a 6-1 record. It's good business for the Giants to get two draft picks back for a player they didn't need.
Adding Toney to the team is worth the risk. Over the next three seasons, he will only have to pay a small portion of his contract.
In his draft scouting report for B/R last year, Tice compared Toney's skill set to that of Cordarrelle Patterson.
It took a long time for Patterson to develop, but he showed last year that he can be an asset in any offense.
Putting Toney in an offense with Andy and Patrick makes him an intriguing player to watch in the future.
After trading Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, the Chiefs have been trying to figure out what to do with their receiving corps. They lead the league with 31.9 points per game.
It's hard to imagine a scenario in which Toney isn't a solid contributor to the offense going forward.
