Apple Releases First Public Betas of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 With Freeform App, Stage Manager External Display Support and More

The public will be able to try out the upcoming iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 updates when they are released later this year. One day after Apple gave the beta to developers, there is another today.

The iOS and iPadOS 16 can be downloaded from the PublicBeta website by people who have signed up for the program.

The Freeform app is available for both iPadOS 16.2 and Apple's mobile operating system. Multiple people can work on the same Freeform board.

Up to eight apps can be used at the same time with external display support for the iPad. The M1 and M2 iPad have external displays.

The Home app architecture in iPadOS 16.2 is designed to bring faster, more reliable performance to homes with a lot of smart home accessories. The Home app won't work with devices that have been updated to the new architecture because of the requirement for the HomePod 16.2 alpha software.
