Stephen A. Smith talked about the importance of the Ravens vs. Bucs game for Tom Brady. There is a time and a place for this.

Lamar Jackson will be watching more than just the opposing quarterback when he spots Tom Brady in the middle of the field.

He'll be looking at someone he's been chasing for a long time.

Jackson wants GOAT status, but it's not Brady's records. It's not Brady's contract that fuels Jackson's pursuit, even though he's in his fifth and final year of his rookies deal.

"If you've ever heard Lamar speak, it's always about Super Bowls," said Joshua Harris, Jackson's long time throwing coach. His mindset is that. Tom Brady wants to win the Superbowl. The gold standard is him.

You can watch the Broncos vs.Jaguars game on October 30th.

Jackson will tell you about winning the Super Bowl of the South Florida Youth Football League when you ask him about his favorite memory. Jackson declared on the draft stage that the Ravens would get a Super Bowl out of him. It's true, believe that.

Brady captioned a picture of him and Jackson shaking hands and wrote that Jackson was the next one. It was thought that Brady was passing the torch to someone else. Jackson had a different point of view.

Jackson said he hopes to win the Super Bowl. Hopefully, that's what I'm next to do, because he has seven of them.

Being consistent is the current goal for both clubs as they meet at Raymond James Stadium on Thursday. Prime video.

Brady is currently below.500 for the first time in over a decade. The lowest point in the four-game losing streak was a 21-3 loss at Carolina on Sunday.

The Ravens lead by double-digits in each of their first seven games, but have lost three of them. Jackson is still one of the top five in QBR.

Jackson said he isn't playing against Brady but rather the opposing defense. There is a unique bond between the two that dates back to before Jackson was drafted. From Jackson's perspective, the simple premise of the mutual admiration is clear.

Jackson said before his first playoff appearance that he was chasing Brady. I don't worry about any other quarterback because he has multiple Super Bowls.

I need to get my first one.

Two weeks before the draft, an analyst for the network suggested that the Pats might want a dual-threat quarterback like Jackson. Brady replied with, "He's a beast" and added a thumbs up.

Jackson told him that the GOAT had said something.

Jackson and Brady would be competitors, not teammates, as a result of the way the Pats went with their first-round picks.

Brady thought that Jackson would be as dominant as he was. He was the only player to be a unanimous winner of the award. Brady was the first person.

Jackson defeated Brady in the only time they have met. Jackson scored three goals and ran for two more as he beat Brady.

Brady and Jackson met on the field after the game to wish each other good luck. A big fan.

Their admiration is still there three years later.

Brady said on Tuesday that he thinks very highly of him. He has a great future.

Brady's story is said to be in Jackson. They didn't get much attention during the draft process. After veteran quarterbacks got injured, they were thrown into starting roles, and they quickly rose to the top of the league.

Brady fell to the sixth round in 2000. Brady led the winning fourth quarter drive in Super Bowl XXXVI.

Jackson fell to the final pick of the first round because he wasn't the classic pocket passer. Jackson was the youngest quarterback to win the Most Valuable Player award.

Patrick said that Tom sees his story in Lamar and wants him to be great because he knows it's in him. He knows he wants that.

In regards to Lamar Jackson's contract situation, Rex Ryan weighed in.

Ray Lewis asked Jackson if there was a ceiling to what he could do during a television interview in January.

Jackson stated that there was no ceiling and that he wanted to bring multiple titles to Baltimore.

Jackson is interested in how different Brady's games are. Brady is on the verge of becoming the first player in the history of the National Football League to top 100,000 passing yards. He's close by 487 yards.

Jackson is a prolific running quarterback. He has run for at least 50 yards in six straight games, which is three shy of the longest such streak in his career.

There are things in common.

Breshad Perriman, who was with the Ravens when Jackson was drafted, said that they both carry that confidence. Tom and Lamar are the same way.

They carry themselves in that way because they have high expectations for themselves.

The age difference is significant. Jackson was three years old when Brady threw his first pass.

Brady said that he is an amazing player. He makes defenses work.

He has a lot of skills. They do a good job with that offense because of his ability to play with his legs. He is very dangerous with the ball.

Tedy Bruschi, who won three Super Bowls with Brady in New England, thinks Brady sees the future of the quarterback position in dual-threat players.

Tom is a very forward thinker, according to Bruschi. The quarterback position is being looked at around the league. Athletes on the defensive side of the ball are very good. There needs to be an extra element to the quarterback with the pressure that they are able to generate.

I think he meant to say that Jackson is going to be like Lamar, Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes, just knowing that the next one is going to be great.

Unless Brady and Jackson meet in the Super Bowl, this will be the last time they face each other on the football field. According to Jackson's former throwing coach, there might be an underlying motivation for one of the quarterbacks.

Harris thinks Jackson wants to win over Brady again. He's a person who competes. He wants to be respected by the GO AT. He wants the GOAT to know that he can play. He's a victor.
