A social-media post deleted by the rapper appears to show that Donda Academy has closed.

Adidas ended its partnership with West this week after the rapper made antisemitic comments.

According to Hollywood Unlocked, an email was sent to parents of Donda Academy students stating that the academy would close for the rest of the school year. According to the Times of London, the email was sent by the principal. Screenshots of the email were uploaded to the internet.

West appeared to confirm the news in a post directed at the CEO of Hollywood Unlocked. "Here's the power you're looking for," West said in the deleted post. The school is closing.

Angell said in his email that the school will reopen in September of 2023, and that they are confident that their scholars will continue to advance.

Rolling Stone reported that Donda Academy requires parents to sign non-disclosure agreements before their children join. Half of the students attend on scholarships funded by West.

The students at the school wear uniforms made by two brands.

The basketball team that recruited some of the top high school players in the US wore designer uniforms. The team was kicked out of a tournament due to its founder's comments, according to a report.

West sparked controversy this month by wearing a White Lives Matter t-shirt, and later saying he was going to die.

It is estimated that ending the partnership with West will cost Adidas $246 million this year.
