There is only one version of OneNote in the Windows store after Microsoft unified the two apps into a single app. Features from the UWP OneNote for Windows 10 app have made their way into the traditional OneNote desktop app.
Microsoft wants you to download the right version of OneNote. OneNote for Windows 10 won't be available in the Microsoft store, according to the team. It won't get new feature updates and will end-of-support in October 2025. You can still use the direct store link to get the OneNote UWP version if you still need it.
A simplified single line ribbon makes the main interface feel a little less cluttered, and inking and dictation have arrived in the main app recently. The OneNote version for Windows 10 is touch-friendly, but this full app doesn't feel that way. Even though Microsoft has largely given up on its Universal Windows Platform app dream, OneNote for Windows 10 was still one of the better UWP apps.
